Some of our programs are funded by contracts, but Marimed relies heavily on the support of individual contributions, grants, and corporate giving. Bequests and Trusts:

You can specify Marimed in your will or revocable living trust. Charitable bequests enable individuals to make significant gifts that they may not have been able to make during life.  A bequest may also reduce your taxable estate.  A bequest may be made for a specific dollar amount or property, a percentage of the estate, a residual amount, or a contingency bequest.

For more information on ways to make a gift to the Marimed, please call 808.349.3774.

Stocks, Bonds, or Real Estate:

Donations or stocks, appreciated securities and real estate are welcome. In most cases, the out-of-pocket cost of your gift will be reduced substantially due to the “double” tax benefit you realize when you contribute appreciated securities. Gifts of stocks, securities and real estate are usually made through your broker or accountant. All gifts of this kind require thoughtful planning to ensure your wishes and intentions are met.

Life Insurance:

Your life insurance policy could be a turned into a gift to benefit those that Marimed serves.  You could name Marimed as a beneficiary of all or part of your funds. Your financial advisor or insurance agent may be able to advise you on the most appropriate way to make this donation.
