How You Can Contribute to Marimed Foundation

Marimed Foundation is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Hawai`i’s special needs youth through residential and educational services. Some of our programs are funded by contracts, but Marimed relies heavily on the support of individual contributions, grants, and corporate giving. Here are some of the ways you can make a difference in the lives of Hawai`i’s youth and families in need.

Online :

You can conveniently make a donation through Paypal. The account or credit card you have linked to your Paypal account will be charged. Just log in with your Paypal user name and password. Once you’ve completed your donation you will be returned to the Marimed.org website.

You can also purchase Marimed t-shirts, hats and other items via Paypal.

Memorial Gift:

A gift in honor of a person or event.

Bequests and Trusts:

You can specify Marimed in your will or revocable living trust. Charitable bequests enable individuals to make significant gifts that they may not have been able to make during life.  A bequest may also reduce your taxable estate.  A bequest may be made for a specific dollar amount or property, a percentage of the estate, a residual amount, or a contingency bequest.
For more information on ways to make a gift to the Marimed, please call 808.235.1377 or email Lynn.Carey@Marimed.org.

Stocks, Bonds, or Real Estate:

Donations or stocks, appreciated securities and real estate are welcome. In most cases, the out-of-pocket cost of your gift will be reduced substantially due to the “double” tax benefit you realize when you contribute appreciated securities. Gifts of stocks, securities and real estate are usually made through your broker or accountant. All gifts of this kind require thoughtful planning to ensure your wishes and intentions are met.

Life Insurance:

Your life insurance policy could be a turned into a gift to benefit those that Marimed serves.  You could name Marimed as a beneficiary of all or part of your funds. Your financial advisor or insurance agent may be able to advise you on the most appropriate way to make this donation.

Designate Aloha United Way or Combined Federal Campaign Contributions:

You can designate Marimed Foundation through AUW (#70350) or CFC (#53983) campaigns. Thank you for this workplace giving donation.

Corporate Matching Gifts:

Many corporations or company employers will match your donation to your favorite nonprofit. Please check with your Human Resources Department.

In-Kind donation:

Marimed welcomes In-Kind donations of items and services, which help sustain our programs. Check out our wish list  or call 235-1377 to discuss this option.
